A Taste of Heritage
Hui Lau Shan founded his first herbal drink store in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, in the 1960s. His specialty Guilinggao and herbal drinks based on unique recipe passed down within the family left a deep impression in people's mind, and established the brand's reputation as the leader in high quality herbal drinks.
Despite the initial success, Hui Lau Shan was not one to settle for the status quo, and he continually looked to innovate and create new items on the menu. Years of research paid off with the creation of Hui Lau Shan's unique and unparalleled mango sago dessert in 1992, a dessert that won the hearts of the island and cemented our leadership position.
The delicious good taste of Hui Lau Shan spread through word of mouth and our desserts is now a must-have delicacy for locals and tourists alike. We have since grown into the biggest dessert chain in Hong Kong with over two hundred stores in key locations across Hong Kong, China, Macau & Malaysia. Our success in Hong Kong is the best testament of our products, and we have spread beyond our shores into South East Asia to share the great taste of Hui Lau Shan with more people.
Since making its first appearance in Malaysia market some 3 years ago, Hong Kong dessert chain Hui Lau Shan has rapidly opened up 21 branches in most prime malls all over the country.
In the past two years, Hui Lau Shan Malaysia had pass through different level of milestones. Some of the most significant milestones which have been achieved in 2013 were the Brand Laureate SMEs Best Brands Award for F&B –The Best Dessert Brand 2013. And, Their Central Kitchen was certified by JAKIM HALAL in October last year.

The Mango Expert
Some 20 years ago, the third generation of Hui Lau Shan created the unique ”Mango Sago” which became a fast fad in HongKong dessert. This signature yellow dessert became a legend in HongKong food history. Until today, the mango series remain Hui Lau Shan’s signature dish. Every year, Hui Lau Shan used up to a thousand tonnes of mangoes in their dessert making process.
For two consecutive years, Hui Lau Shan won the ”King of Dessert” award in HongKong, winning them the reputation of Mango Expert.
